About the Course
This course provides foundational training in substance abuse counseling assessment. It covers the ongoing process of collaborating with clients to gather and interpret information for treatment planning and progress evaluation. Topics include biopsychosocial perspectives, interviewing techniques, screening and assessment tools, use of the DSM for diagnosis, and writing assessment summaries to support treatment planning.
